Getting Started

Starting a New Career as a Millennial

The bells are going off in your head, but you still don’t believe that it is happening. You feel like you just started your college career yesterday, how can it be time to start the first day of the rest of your life already? Making the adjustment from being a “kid” to being an adult is something that can really be tough. Lucky for you, people everywhere are in the same situation.

Even so, getting ready to start your career is something that may seem like a big challenge. The truth is that it really can be, sometimes. But, others have been in your position before and faced the same challenges that you face today.

Punched Clocks was created by one of those people. Hi there! I am Sarah Landrum and I am so excited to be a part of your journey to becoming a real adult. I started this blog after I became a professional development writer. I want to share my advice with you as you begin on your path to the next part of your life.

Why did I become an expert career development writer?

Because I was in the same shoes as you not that long ago. I knew that I needed to get a job that I love, but I was not sure where to start. Now that I have spent some time going through interviews and working in different careers, I want to share my experiences with you.

As you prepare to get your first real job, you are probably a little nervous about the interview. Even if it is over the phone, you know that you want to make the best first impression that you can.

What if I already have the job?
Already made it through the interview process? Getting ready for your first day? I have articles for that too! I know what it is like to have your first day of work coming up and not being sure what to expect. We have all been there at one point which is why I dedicated some of my time as an expert writer for career development in helping millennials prepare for their first day.

Whatever the case may be, I am so excited to share my experiences with you.
